Brian’s senior management experience, education, and financial skill adds value through controllership, SR&ED, employee engagement, coaching, business strategy, and Lean.

He serves as a Senior Consultant for Value Stream Solutions focusing on Lean Accounting and Lean Administration. In this role he facilitates workshops on Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Visual Management, and provides internal Lean consulting for small to medium enterprises. Brian is also Controller for Armo-Tool Limited, providing controllership, SR&ED, and Lean expertise. He combines expertise in financial leadership with his passion for Lean to continuously improve accounting, administrative, and shop floor functions at Armo-Tool. For the past two years Brian has co-led the implementation of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), a management system designed to provide clarity and focus for business strategy and implementation at Armo-Tool. He also provided part-time controllership for two technology companies in the IT sector in the London area.

Brian earned his CMA designation in 1992, an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in 2006, a certificate in Lean Business Processes from the University of Michigan in 2007, and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Edinburgh Napier University in 2018. His thesis explored cultural factors that impact the adoption of Lean methodologies in manufacturing environments.
